HCV Intern

Community Development CMelville, NY

About The Position

Community Development Long Island (CDLI) is the only full-service collection of community development entities that change Long Islanders lives for success in home creation and financial growth. CDLI supports these achievements on the individual and community level by offering innovative solutions and resources to achieve personal and community economic growth. The HCV intern will support the Rental Assistance Department in the development of clear and concise communication materials aimed at improving engagement between landlords and program participants. The Housing Assistance Payment Contracts (HAPs) for the Landlords are a required document as part of program compliance, in addition to LL/Tenant Leases. Many of the Nassau transition files do not have these documents on file resulting in compliance risk and SEMAP deficiencies. By obtaining these documents it will greatly increase our file compliance and assist with annual recertification completion.
