About The Position
To provide for the routine operation and minor maintenance of university vehicles in the transportation of materials or passengers.
Requirements
- High School graduate and/or equivalent and one year related experience required.
- Completion of defensive driver course within 30 days of hire.
- Must possess current Texas Class "C" driver's license - with no driving restrictions, and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and/or retrieves materials as instructed.
- Assists in the loading and unloading of materials from vehicle.
- Maintains daily log of mileage, number of trips, passengers/cargo, destination, and fuel and oil consumptions.
- Inspects condition of assigned vehicle on a regular basis with regard to oil, fuel, tires and water.
- Reports any needed adjustments or repairs to supervisors.
- Adheres to internal controls established for departments
