Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Core HCM.
  • Strong understanding of Workday Core HCM configuration, business processes, organizational structures, and staffing models.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and IT.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex configuration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve data integrity concerns.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable supporting testing, system releases, enhancements, and change management initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting Workday modules such as Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Recruiting is considered an asset.
  • Workday Core HCM training and/or certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of Workday Core HCM processes, including worker data, job and position management, supervisory organizations, staffing transactions, and organizational structures.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and IT teams to gather requirements, assess impacts, and deliver scalable Workday solutions that align with business needs and best practices.
  • Own and optimize key HCM business processes such as hiring, onboarding, job changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and organizational assignments to ensure efficient workflows and a positive user experience.
  • Maintain foundational Workday HCM configuration, including supervisory organizations, job profiles, positions, worker types, staffing models, and related system objects that support accurate HR transactions.
  • Troubleshoot complex HCM issues, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions across functional areas, including business processes, reporting, data integrity, and downstream system impacts.
  • Monitor and improve data quality and system integrity through audits, testing, exception reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead impact assessments, testing, and deployment activities related to Workday releases, enhancements, and change requests affecting Core HCM and integrated modules such as Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, and Time Tracking.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources to support stakeholders, analysts, and end users.
  • Provide guidance and support on Workday HCM functionality, business processes, and best practices across the organization.
  • Support a hybrid work environment, with the ability to attend the Mississauga office two days per week and provide occasional after-hours support during system updates, critical incidents, or peak activity periods.
