About The Position

The State of Ohio is seeking an experienced HCL Technology Consultant to support application stabilization and environment optimization efforts. This role focuses on analyzing existing systems, improving deployment processes, reviewing code quality, and enabling long-term maintainability through knowledge transfer and best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with HCL technologies (VOLT/IRIS, Foundry)
• Strong experience with: Environment configuration and deployment pipelines
• Application architecture, integrations, and dependencies
• Code review and quality analysis
• CI/CD tools and automated deployment frameworks
• Experience supporting environment modernization and remediation initiatives
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with application lifecycle management (ALM) in enterprise environments
• Prior experience in consulting or contractor roles
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document application environments (dev/test/prod) , including configurations and dependencies
• Review and improve deployment processes and pipelines for efficiency and reliability
• Perform code reviews to identify defects, risks, and technical debt; implement enhancements
• Troubleshoot environment issues, deployment failures, and configuration inconsistencies
• Provide recommendations for system stability, automation, and performance improvements
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process and technical improvements
• Prepare documentation, findings, and remediation plans
