About The Position

HAZMAT FLATBED TRANSPORT DRIVER (SACRAMENTO, CA) We are looking for local and regional flatbed transport drivers to join our small, “family first” company, who are committed to getting the job done safely and efficiently. This full-time position features local and regional driving opportunities primarily within 350-400 miles of Sacramento, CA. Humboldt Pacific, LLC is a fuel transport company specializing in the safe and efficient delivery of bulk fuel—including Jet A, JP8, AVGAS, and kerosene—as well as other petroleum commodities. In addition to our fuel transport services, we provide comprehensive flatbed transportation solutions for both hazmat and non-hazmat loads throughout California, Nevada, and Oregon. Our flatbed division is equipped to handle a diverse range of freight, including hazardous materials that require strict regulatory compliance and specialized handling. We ensure all hazmat loads are transported in accordance with federal and state regulations, with properly trained drivers, certified equipment, and rigorous safety protocols. For non-hazmat shipments, we offer reliable transport of oversized, heavy, or specialized cargo such as equipment, machinery, and materials requiring securement and careful coordination. Our team is experienced in load planning, securement, and route compliance, ensuring every shipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The Driver is responsible for the pick-up and the drop-off of specified equipment. The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and must follow all safe driving regulations. Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL with TWIC, HAZMAT.
  • A Tank Endorsement is also preferred.
  • Minimum of 24 months commercial driving experience
  • No more than 2 major moving violations within a 3 year period
  • No more than 2 accidents within a 3 year period
  • DOT Drug Screening required
  • No Felony convictions
  • No DUI's/ DWI's within the last 7 years
  • No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests
  • Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Must be 23 Years of age or older
  • Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • A Tank Endorsement is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transports deliveries in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company policy and applicable State & Federal regulations.
  • Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload deliveries according to the capacity of the load and content description.
  • Processes and maintains proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation and submits in a timely manner.
  • Maintains communication with dispatch as to any delays or issues during route/shift.
  • Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company’s image.
  • Performs a daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
  • Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits logbooks as required by company policy.
  • Maintains vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
  • Reports all accidents/damages/malfunctions immediately to management as per company policy and procedure.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
