About The Position

The Environmental Services Field Technician I (Driver Non-CDL) performs operational work involving emergency response, hazardous and non-hazardous spill cleanup, and hazardous-material decontamination. The role includes field cleanup and remediation activities, operating cleanup equipment and vehicles, responding to customer incidents during and outside normal business hours, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining vehicle logs, and keeping equipment and work sites clean and maintained. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Hold a valid driver’s license.
Be DOT Qualified or able to become DOT Qualified (Non-CDL) to drive vehicles between 10,000 and 26,000 pounds.
Be able to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Ability to use light and heavy equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Skill using hand and shop tools and instruments.
Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
Current 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Responsibilities

Perform confined-space entry, including work in manholes and tank cleaning.
Conduct oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high-pressure washing, and other remedial activities.
Operate cleanup equipment and vehicles, including roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, box trucks, skid steers, forklifts, pumps, and pallet jacks.
Respond to customer spills and emergencies during normal business hours and after hours.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections.
Maintain vehicle logs.
Perform general housekeeping, including equipment and site maintenance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
