Ensures compliance with DOT, TDG and CTU Code requirements by managing and responding to internal and external customer requests regarding Dangerous Goods and Transportation Safety; Manages management of change (MOC) for Dangerous Goods (DG) classification and packaging; Responds to, investigates root causes, and provides advice to off-site emergency response to distribution incidents involving LANXESS materials; Track, investigate and manage all transportation related incidents to minimize impacts to human health and the environment, implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents; Conducts and manages Dangerous Goods, Transportation Safety and warehouse audits; Includes Warehouses, Sites, Terminals, Bulk Storage Facilities and Tollers (as needed) and provide guidance for acquisition sites; Assists with problem solving of SAP DG errors and blocks in the ERP database; Analysis and interpretation of transportation regulations to ensure compliance with national and international transportation regulations for all mode(Includes DOT, IATA, IMDG, TDG, FRA, ADR); 24/7 management of emergency response in the event of any transport or warehouse incidents; Lead contact for CHEMTREC for North America region; Support emergency response (as needed) for LATAM region; Coordinate with members of HSEQs, Communications, BU’s including sites and GPL to manage transportation incidents; Represents Lanxess in industry organizations to improve safety of dangerous goods transportation for the chemical industry (DGAC, ACC, Chlorine Institute, CHEMTREC).
