Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
Previous experience working with chemicals, hazardous materials, laboratory operations, or environmental services is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify, classify, and document materials.
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment while following established safety procedures and utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Comfortable performing hands-on work, including material handling, sampling, packaging, and waste management activities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to work the assigned schedule and perform all duties on-site.

Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Receive, identify, sort, and de-pack lab pack materials in a fast-paced industrial hazardous waste processing facility.
Apply chemistry knowledge to classify, characterize, and safely manage a wide variety of chemical and hazardous waste streams.
Perform bulk consolidations, material transfers, sampling activities, and container management in accordance with environmental regulations and company procedures.
Prepare, package, label, and document hazardous waste shipments for transportation, treatment, recycling, and disposal.
Complete regulatory documentation and maintain compliance with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and company requirements.
Conduct routine inspections of work areas, containers, and equipment to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Support spill response activities and contribute to a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety excellence.
