About The Position

SOLVCHEM, Inc. is seeking a reliable and safety-focused HAZ LTL CDL Company Driver to join our Logistics team in Pearland, Texas. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient local delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical products while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance. This is a Monday to Friday position with overtime offered, and drivers will be home nightly. Benefits and 401K are included.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
Must be able to safely operate a manual transmission (stick shift) commercial vehicle.
Current DOT medical card and hazardous materials transportation certificate.
Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience (chemical industry experience strongly preferred).

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous products using pallet jacks, handling 55-gallon drums, IBC totes, and other heavy materials (regular lifting up to 50 lbs.).
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
Serve as a professional company representative and liaison to customers in an appropriate manner at all times.
Complete and submit all delivery, driver, and hazardous materials paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Logistics Department regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs, and upcoming expiration dates.
Adhere to all SOLVCHEM safety policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.
Keep assigned vehicle clean and in excellent operating condition.
Assist warehouse operations as directed, including forklift use, loading, cleaning, and general plant support.
Comply with all DOT, federal, state, and company regulations regarding the transport of hazardous materials.
Submit to required drug screenings and alcohol tests per company policy.
Follow the SOLVCHEM Driver Handbook, including journey management and security protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Department.
