About The Position

We are hiring a dependable, safety-focused Haul Truck Driver for a direct placement role in Front Royal, VA. You will primarily pilot CAT 730 and 740 haul trucks on active underground utility projects, with opportunities to operate secondary support machinery like skid steers and small wheel loaders.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience preferred operating articulated haul trucks (CAT 730/740 or similar civil earthmoving equipment).
• Ability or willingness to occasionally jump into skid steers and small wheel loaders when needed.
• OSHA 10 preferred and a valid drivers license.
• Familiarity with civil site earthmoving and underground utility construction environments.
• Strong commitment to daily pre/post-trip safety checks, daily logging, and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CAT 730 and 740 articulated haul trucks to haul soil, aggregate, backfill, and rock across underground utility construction sites.
• Occasionally operate support equipment such as skid steers and small wheel loaders for site staging, backfilling, and material movement.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment safety checks (fluids, hydraulics, tires, lights) to ensure machine reliability.
• Accurately complete daily logs, maintenance sheets, and material load tallies.
• Coordinate closely with site superintendents, excavator operators, and pipe crews for efficient site flow and safety.
