About The Position

Haul Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a rigid frame haul truck in an Open Pit mining environment. The Red Chris Mine Operations team is now recruiting for the position of Haul Truck Driver with a competitive base wage of $43.90/hour with additional incentives including Benefits package, RRSP and Travel Allowances to get to and from site. We are seeking candidates for a Fly-In, Fly-Out opportunity working on a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation.

Requirements

Experience in an open pit mining environment is preferred
Be committed to safe working practices
Be prepared to actively participate in a positive and safe working atmosphere.
The ability to stay alert and pay attention to detail during all hours and weather conditions while on shift
Ability to safely climb and access equipment, as well as lift heavy objects up to 50lbs
Be a strong team member and be able to work independently as required
A valid BC Drivers License

Responsibilities

Operation of haul trucks (Cat 777, 785 and 793) in an Open Pit mine, on 12-hour shifts rotating between day and night shifts
Follow established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards
Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily equipment reports
Report all unsafe mechanical conditions
Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment
Assist in general mine labour and other duties as require
