About The Position

Martin Marietta is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join their team at the Blue Ridge Quarry in Blue Ridge, VA. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry, performing various maintenance duties, and operating other mobile equipment. Responsibilities include daily pre-shift inspections, minor maintenance and repairs on haul trucks, assisting with greasing and lubricating plant equipment, maintaining plant housekeeping, and performing routine maintenance on plant and equipment.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used processing plants.

Nice To Haves

• Six (6) months experience as a haul truck driver or other related experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry.
• Perform various maintenance duties in the quarry.
• Safely and efficiently operate other mobile equipment.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.
• Assist with greasing and lubricating plant equipment.
• Maintain plant housekeeping.
• Operate equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Operate a haul truck within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follow company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Aid in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product pile as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and service mobile equipment.
• Be responsible for good housekeeping of equipment.
• Perform various roles, including greasing, housekeeping, and various other shop or processing duties.
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
