About The Position

This position is responsible for performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. It is part of Live Operations, and work may be assigned as required based on operational needs. During a time-sensitive schedule, the worker follows a specific pull sheet and works as part of a team to transfer chicks from hatchers to the separator room using a dolly. The work involves substantial walking on cement floors that may be wet or slippery, and pushing stacks of chicks in baskets on a dolly in hot, humid, and dusty environments. The worker also sets up equipment and the work area. The job is physically demanding and requires lifting and lowering up to 30 pounds to full extensions. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation. Rehires are subject to a one-year waiting period. Candidates who have worked for Tyson Foods or Tyson affiliates three or more times are not eligible for rehire. Certain roles require a background check. Hourly applicants must complete a task after submitting an application to provide additional information for consideration.
