About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing hatchery areas including the egg room and clean/dirty rooms, and painting hatchery areas. Other duties may be assigned. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. No cell phones allowed on the clean side of the hatchery. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.) and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must use safe lifting techniques.
Must regularly push or pull 500 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.
Regularly required to stand majority of shift on a concrete floor; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
Safety goggles and/or glasses, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, earmuffs and/or ear plugs, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals.
Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment.
Team member is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
