About The Position

This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the hatchery, including planning special projects related to maintaining an excellent hatching environment, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and administering personnel policies fairly and consistently. This includes making weekly projections, seeking outside sources when necessary, working with Quality Control to ensure proper procedures are followed and cleaning is done, and calculating hatchery mechanical performance while ensuring preventative maintenance is in place. Other responsibilities include assisting supervisors in training and daily dealings with Team Members, working with Hen Growers and Breeder Technicians to ensure the production of high-quality eggs, and working with Broiler Growers and Technicians to maintain the ideal environment for chicks. Other duties include fumigating and maintaining eggs while in the incubator, arranging for chicks to be delivered to the farm, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
One (1) plus years of experience in management.
Basic computer skills (e.g., checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, creating simple queries).
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Poultry and Hatchery experience is preferred.
