About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in installing, repairing, and servicing all hatchery equipment. Conducts equipment service per PM schedule; orders supplies and maintains inventory; performs housekeeping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment; and coordinates major repairs with external vendors.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated previous experience in a lead/supervisory role and/or a minimum of 6 months in related field.
  • Must agree to submit to a Security Threat Assessment
  • Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs. and must be able to push/pull 1000-1500 lbs. (on wheels).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
  • Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals.
  • Ear plugs will be used as needed.
  • Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock out Tag out, and Personal Protective equipment.
  • Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
  • Must have at least six consecutive months of work experience with the same employer and no additional gaps in employment greater than six months with the last 36 months. If applicant was laid-off, providing eldercare or childcare, the six month gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history criteria will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense Formaldehyde. (10%)
  • Aaon/HVAC troubleshooting diagnosis and understanding. (10%)
  • Do temperature checks on setters before eggs are set and assist with setting eggs. (10%)
  • VFD and Venilation operation understanding.(10%)
  • PLC operation and programing (10%)
  • Make sure all setter buggies are being correctly placed, all curtains are in the right position, all air lines are hooked correctly and all buggies are connected. (10%)
  • Perform and maintain the PM program. (10%)
  • Pneumatics operation and understanding (10%)
  • Calibrate pumps for dispensing chemicals and change Single and Three phase motors as well as Low voltage and Control wiring. (10%)
  • Be on-call as needed, Calibrate, change, and clean setter and hatchers. Clean spray nozzles, assist with the emptying of the offal tank, pre pull, maintains foot pans and hand sanitizer, maintain a clean and organized work area. (10%)
