Hatchery Laborers are responsible for various tasks within the hatchery, including washing floats, transporting and setting eggs, sanitizing equipment, and loading chicks. This role involves continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching, with some tasks requiring specific dexterity like pinch grip and extension/flexion of the back and shoulders. The working conditions can be wet and humid during sanitation, and hot (99 degrees Fahrenheit) and dusty at times, particularly when chicks are in production. On-the-job training is provided for 1-2 weeks.
