This role involves Transfer Room Production work with breeder eggs coming from breeder farms. The job requires the ability to work weekends. Responsibilities include pushing carts from trucks into the Egg Room, traying eggs from boxes onto egg flats and placing them on setter carts, and pushing/pulling setter carts to setters and placing them in the setters. Workstations and walkways can be slippery, requiring excellent stability and balance. Frequent physical activities such as walking and standing for prolonged hours at a time are required.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete checklists.
Excellent stability and balance required.
Frequent physical activities such as walking and standing for prolonged hours at a time are required.

Responsibilities

Transfer breeder eggs from breeder farms.
Push carts from trucks into the Egg Room.
Tray eggs from boxes onto egg flats.
Place eggs on setter carts.
Push/pull setter carts to setters and place them in the setters.
Perform moderate light lifting, 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Pushing/Pulling heavy egg carts.
Reaching above shoulders.
Use of fingers—dexterity and normal sensation required.
Use of both hands required.
Extensive walking.
Use of both legs required (prosthesis acceptable if full range of mobility is allowed).
