About The Position

The Harvest Supervisor will coordinate activities with the Commodity Manager related to harvest estimates, timing, and quality. This role involves communicating with growers about irrigation needs, executing the weekly harvest plan, and making daily decisions on harvest operations to ensure product quality meets company standards. The supervisor will also record data on quality, supply, timing, yield, and lost acres, and enforce safety regulations. Travel to Yuma, AZ / Blythe, CA is required from approximately December through March to oversee Broccoli / Cauliflower harvest. Additional duties include coordinating re-packs and printing/delivering PTI stickers as needed.

Requirements

  • Spanish Speaker
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities/projects to achieve expected results.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and manage people.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Unrestricted workability in the U.S.
  • Good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with the Commodity Manager such as Harvest Estimates, Timing, and Quality.
  • Communicate with growers when fields need water.
  • Carry out the Harvest Plan for the current week with the Commodity Manager.
  • Determine when, where, and how much product will be harvested on any given day; continuously work with harvest crews to ensure that the quality of the pack meets the company's standards.
  • Records information, such as Quality, Supply, Timing, Yield, and Lost Acres.
  • Enforces safety regulations and ensures policies are being followed.
  • Travel to Yuma, AZ / Blythe, CA to oversee Broccoli / Cauliflower harvest. Approximately December through March.
  • Coordinate Re-Packs with the Commodity Manager.
  • Print/Deliver PTI stickers if needed.
