About The Position

The Harvest Scale Operator position at JBS USA is responsible for organizing the make sheet with available cattle to fill product orders. This role involves directing the Chain Feed Person on the correct grade and quantity of cattle to place on the chain, documenting all floor downtime, and tracking product changes. The operator must also record all grade and program cattle changes, monitor the amount of cattle cut daily, and verify start and shift end times. Additionally, they are responsible for verifying cattle temperatures entering Fabrication and ensuring all cut codes are correctly entered into the system. The position requires completing and submitting end-of-shift paperwork to the appropriate parties.

Requirements

Must pass a drug, alcohol, and background check post-offer and prior to the start of employment.
Must provide verification of employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and organize the make sheet with the cattle available to fill product orders
Direct the Chain Feed Person to put the correct grade cattle on the chain and in the right amount
Document all floor downtime by time lost, when, and reason
Keep track of all product changes and notify affected supervisors of each product change
Keep track and record all grade and program cattle changes
Keep track of amount of cattle cut daily and record
Verify and document start and shift end times
Verify cattle temperatures coming into Fabrication and documentation
Assure all cut codes are in the system correctly
Complete all end of shift paperwork and verify is sent to interested parties
