About The Position

This position involves hanging live birds in a shackle, located after the cage dumper and is the first chain-driven operation. The live hanger removes a bird from the hanging belt by grasping it by both legs, positioning it breast-side away from the hanger, and then hanging the bird by both legs into a shackle. The hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back and will place any DOAs (Dead on Arrival) into the DOA barrel at the end of the conveyor. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
