About The Position

The Harvest Production Superintendent oversees the efficiency of production monitoring, scanning make sheets, and discussing daily goals with Supervisors. This role involves reporting to the Fabrication Office for order sheets, attending supervisor meetings, and reporting work schedules daily. The Superintendent directs supervisors regarding production volume, quality, cost, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates. They are responsible for handling employee grievances, disputes, or problems, escalating unsolved matters to Human Resources. Active participation in group, line, and supervisory meetings is required. The Superintendent works with the Quality Control department to ensure product quality and food safety, and trains and develops supervisors to build management depth and teamwork. They also monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized, and maintain good employee relations while adhering to labor contract provisions. The position requires contact with line personnel and plant management.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to Fabrication Office for order sheet (make sheet), attends supervisor meetings, and reports work schedule to supervisors daily.
  • Directs supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
  • Handles any employee grievance, dispute or problem in most efficient manner possible. Any unsolved matter taken up with Human Resources.
  • Actively participates in group meetings, line meetings, and supervisory meetings.
  • Work with the Quality control department to insure product quality & food safety.
  • Trains and develops supervisors to provide management depth and develop teamwork to attain department objectives.
  • Monitors and confirms the machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintains and sanitized.
  • Maintains good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
  • Contact with line personnel, in addition to plant management.
