About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated, quality focused, passionate team player to fill a 4 month contract position of Harvest Intern at Laughing Stock Vineyards. Laughing Stock Vineyards is a boutique winery on the beautiful Naramata Bench near Penticton, BC, overlooking Okanagan Lake. We work hard at trying not to live up to our name, and thus aim to make serious wines with a light-hearted attitude. In the past 20 years, our winery has become one of the most respected and sought-after wine producers in BC, winning the title of Canada’s Small Winery of the Year in 2025. Known for our flagship Portfolio, a Bordeaux-style red blend, we also produce a traditional method sparkling wine, and other premium white, rose and red wines. Using a variety of concrete eggs and clay amphorae we craft unique small batch wines that emphasize texture and showcase the terroir from special pockets around the Okanagan Valley. In the role of Harvest Intern you will work closely with our Winemaking team in the creation of our award-winning wines.

Requirements

• Hard working with good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Flexible with work hours and willing to work overtime as needed

• Cellar experience is an asset (we will also provide training)

Responsibilities

• Grape Reception, Sorting, Destemming, Crushing, and Pressing
• Inoculations, Nutrient Additions, Sampling, Pump Overs, Punch Downs, Sugar Monitoring, and Draining/pressing of Fermenters
• Barrel Work, Racking and Product Transfers
• Tank & Barrel Cleaning, and general cleaning of facility and winery equipment
• Safe Operation of Cellar Forklift and Other Winery Equipment (Training Provided)
• Follow all safety procedures as directed by standard operating procedures
• Other Duties as Required
