As an Avionics & Harness Technician B, you will assist in the fabrication of harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures for spacecraft and ground systems. This role requires the ability to work second shift. This position's internal job code is Avionics & Harness Technician B. Our team is currently hiring for labor grade 15.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training
  • Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required
  • Must be a US Citizen or eligible for a security clearance.
  • Willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified MSS08014-102-SOP Rev B Harnessing Build Standard Practices and Inspection
  • Experience working in 100,000 Class cleanrooms with ESD sensitive components

Responsibilities

  • Wire harnesses assembly per NASA.STD.8739.4A
  • Use of harness related tools such as soldering irons, crimpers, hot tweezers, etc
  • Testing wire harnesses with equipment such as high potential testers, multimeters, force gauges
  • Assembly of electrical ground support equipment
  • Test equipment setups
  • Assists in performing second party verifications and visually inspect harness assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures
  • Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
  • Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
  • Meets necessary certification as required
  • Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required
