About The Position

Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full Time Harness Quality Technicians / Inspectors for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. Full Time Harness Quality Technicians / Inspectors will support quality assurance operations for wire harness and cable assembly production. The ideal candidate will have strong experience inspecting harness assemblies, verifying workmanship standards, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and engineering drawings. The Full Time Harness Quality Technicians / Inspectors will be responsible for inspecting wire harnesses and related assemblies throughout production and final inspection stages to ensure products meet all quality and customer requirements. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This Full Time Harness Quality Technician / Inspector position is based out of Allen Park, MI. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience quality checking wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Strong understanding of harness assembly workmanship standards and inspection processes
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings
  • Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or electronics manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with quality standards and inspection documentation
  • Experience with continuity testing and electrical testing equipment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and related products for quality, workmanship, and compliance with customer specifications
  • Perform visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections using hand tools and inspection equipment
  • Verify proper wire routing, crimps, terminations, labeling, continuity, connector installation, and overall harness build quality
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications
  • Accurately document inspection results, non-conformances, and quality records
  • Accept or reject finished products and properly identify nonconforming material
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Recommend process improvements to improve product quality and reduce defects
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
  • Support continuous improvement and corrective action activities
