About The Position

This role involves charting live horse races, meticulously recording each horse's performance details such as fractional times, margins, odds, and drivers. The information gathered is then entered and uploaded to the USTA computer. Additionally, the position requires generating official judges' sheets with comprehensive race data, including winning payoffs, owners, trainers, and drivers, and uploading these results. Responsibilities also include managing horse transfers by completing and filing the proper USTA paperwork, handling inquiries from horsemen regarding claimed horses and transfers, and communicating with Judges and the Race Office. The role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service, working safely according to established regulations, and effective communication with colleagues and guests. This position may require performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled

Responsibilities

Chart each live race with respect to each horse’s performance containing, but not limited to, fractional times, margins, odds, drivers, etc., and enter and upload this information to the USTA computer
Generate official judges’ sheets for each race containing, but not limited to, fractional times, margins, odds, winning payoffs, owners, trainers, drivers, etc.
Enter and upload official racing results to the USTA computer
Complete transfers of horses with respect to filing the proper paperwork for use by the USTA
Handle calls and inquiries from horsemen regarding claimed horses, transfers, and other program office matters as they arise
Communicate with Judges and Race Office as necessary
Provide exceptional customer service
Work safely, following all established safety rules and regulations
Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests
Follow all relevant policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
