The role involves assembling harnesses and may also require performing duties of a production and general helper. The level of responsibility includes structured work processes, with some analysis required before independently choosing from known processes.

Requirements

  • Plan reading.
  • Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometric dimensions.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-620 standards.
  • Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
  • Use of production databases.
  • Good knowledge of French.
  • Fine manual dexterity.
  • Education: College or vocational diploma (DCS or DVS) in one of the following fields: mechanics, electromechanics, electronics, aeronautics or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Crimp contacts and perform wire pull tests.
  • Terminate connectors (D-Sub/Circular/Coaxial).
  • Prepare cables and wires.
  • Make harnesses.
  • Integrate/terminate harnesses in electronic modules, antennas and payloads.
  • Mechanically assemble connectors and backshells.
  • Solder or install mechanical points according to specifications.
  • Tin components.
  • Develop and build exact models.
  • Prepare, handle and use polymer products for bonding components.
  • Inspect, check and validate the conformity of certain tasks carried out by colleagues.
  • Support research and development.
  • Any other related duties.
