Harness and Platform Engineer, AI Safety and Security Engineering
About The Position
NVIDIA’s AI Safety & Security Engineering team builds and evaluates AI-powered tooling to find, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities. The Harness and Platform Engineer will build the agent harness and platform foundation that enables the team’s work to be repeatable and trustworthy. The platform supports reproducible experiments and makes the process visible from environment setup through execution and results. The role builds on NVIDIA NeMo agent tooling and helps shape its direction. The engineer will work closely with security research and evaluation engineers to understand their workflows, improve the tools and environments they use, and reduce friction. The work includes debugging problems with the people affected by them and maintaining dependable environments, versioned tooling, and repeatable runs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python engineering skills.
- Comfort with containerized environments and CI/CD.
- Experience with agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, ML infrastructure, or evaluation harnesses.
- Care for versioned tooling and repeatable results.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA NeMo or similar agent frameworks.
- Exposure to security tooling or vulnerability research.
- Experience building internal tools that other engineers enjoy using.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the agent harness.
