About The Position

Step into a one-of-a-kind leadership opportunity this holiday season as a Hardy's Holiday Village Supervisor Intern at Nemacolin. As a Supervisor, you will play a key role in bringing Hardy's Holiday Village to life while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience leading a seasonal team in a luxury hospitality environment. You will help oversee day-to-day operations, support and motivate Holiday Helpers, and ensure every element of the village runs smoothly from opening to closing. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organized, energetic, and naturally positive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with people. You'll learn to balance staffing needs, operational priorities, guest expectations, and unexpected challenges—all while maintaining the warmth, professionalism, and holiday spirit that make Hardy's Holiday Village special. From coaching associates and coordinating daily activities to jumping in wherever you're needed, you'll be at the center of the action and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the associate and guest experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program; students studying Hospitality Management, Business, Event Management, Tourism, Recreation, Communications, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn and effectively use resort systems and technology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, accuracy, and professional standards.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a diverse team.
  • Must have reliable attendance and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Must be available for the full duration of the winter internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, hospitality, retail, event, or customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, hospitality, retail, food service, event, or guest service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day direction, support, and encouragement to Holiday Helpers while fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-energy team environment.
  • Help coordinate opening, operating, and closing procedures to ensure Hardy's Holiday Village runs safely, efficiently, and seamlessly each day.
  • Monitor daily staffing needs, coordinate associate assignments, and respond to call-offs or changing operational needs to maintain appropriate coverage.
  • Coach and guide Holiday Helpers to ensure they understand their responsibilities and consistently deliver warm, engaging, and professional guest service.
  • Lead by example by interacting with guests, resolving concerns, answering questions, and ensuring the holiday village consistently delivers memorable experiences for families.
  • Monitor the cleanliness, organization, presentation, and functionality of guest-facing areas and address issues promptly.
  • Help facilitate the smooth operation of holiday shops, cocoa and treat stations, activities, special events, and appearances by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves.
  • Serve as a key communication point between Holiday Village associates and leadership, ensuring important updates, operational changes, and guest needs are communicated clearly and promptly.
  • Quickly assess unexpected challenges and determine appropriate solutions while maintaining composure, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
  • Adapt to changing guest volume, weather, staffing, schedules, special events, and other operational demands with flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Maintain a poised, polished, and professional presence during busy periods while keeping the team focused and the guest experience at the forefront.
  • Assist with planning and execution of seasonal programming, special events, and high-volume holiday experiences.
  • Bring enthusiasm, positivity, and energy to every shift while helping create a fun and welcoming environment for guests and associates alike.
  • Be willing to step into any area of the operation and assist with tasks necessary to maintain a seamless holiday experience.
