Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a hardware test lab or validation environment
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical fixture/test station design (CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Hands-on experience with environmental, mechanical, and ESD test equipment
  • Strong knowledge of metrology tools (CT Scan, CMM) and material analysis (FTIR)
  • Demonstrated experience with equipment calibration, PM programs, and GR&R studies
  • Excellent documentation skills — SOPs, test reports, calibration records
  • Familiarity with lab safety, ESD controls, and quality management systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Test Fixture Design Packages including mechanical/electrical design files, assembly instructions, and validation protocols for each new product or fixture refresh
  • Execute Test Station Bring-Up activities including calibration records, GR&R (Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility) studies, and correlation data for each new station deployment or relocation
  • Perform Environmental Testing including Thermal Shock, HALT , and related stress tests
  • Conduct Mechanical Testing using Instron, Drop, and Vibration equipment
  • Execute ESD Testing per applicable standards
  • Operate Metrology equipment including CT Scan and CMM
  • Perform FTIR / Material Analysis for material characterization and failure analysis
  • Carry out Electrical/Mechanical Rework as needed for test sample preparation or corrective actions
  • Manage Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules and execution
  • Maintain Equipment Calibrations ensuring all instruments are within calibration windows
