About The Position

As an Everpure Hardware Validation Engineer, you will work alongside some of the best engineering teams and technical leaders in the industry. In this role, you will drive hardware product validation for both new and existing products while continuously improving validation methodologies to ensure best-in-class quality and reliability. You will stay current with the latest peripheral technologies, including their signal integrity and thermal requirements, and work with leading-edge x86 CPU, memory, I/O, networking, and storage technologies. Requirements

  • BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of experience. Strong candidates with less experience may also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of the areas above and excellent debug skills.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Linux, or similar environments.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, Tableau, and similar tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong execution and schedule discipline.
  • Solid experience using Jira and other bug-tracking tools.
  • Experience setting up switches and servers.

Responsibilities

  • Defining test plans and validating peripherals used in Everpure FlashArray products.
  • Performing hands-on lab characterization of peripherals used in new designs and currently shipping arrays.
  • Assisting with lab-based thermal modeling and running stress tests to characterize power under different operating conditions.
  • Using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and SERDES tools to evaluate design robustness.
  • Debugging bus technologies such as I2C, PCIe, DDR5, and related interfaces.
  • Writing clear validation reports and communicating results to cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware, software, and operations.
  • Driving peripheral qualification efforts for technologies including optical interfaces such as SFP and QSFP, DAC cables, PCIe cards including Ethernet and Fibre Channel adapters, boot drives, DRAM, and x86 CPUs.
  • Supporting reviews of hardware designs and JDM validation reports, while assisting software and diagnostics engineering with lab debug.
  • Owning products from cradle to grave, including reviewing field failures, driving down failure rates, and performing root cause analysis on abnormalities.
