About The Position

As a Test Engineer II at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will support production, customer service, and developmental programs by maintaining, troubleshooting, improving, and expanding test equipment and test stations. The role calls for hands-on problem-solving, collaboration across engineering and production teams, and practical solutions that keep critical test operations reliable. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting hardware and software engineering projects involving aerospace navigation, inertial sensing, and hardware systems. The work includes maintaining electronic equipment, test stations, simulators, rate tables, and related production systems to maintain test readiness and minimize interruptions.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting production test equipment, test stations, simulators, or related electronic systems.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, reliable solutions.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and clearly communicating technical information to engineers and technicians.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple support requests, and follow issues through to resolution.

  • Set up and improve vibration display board systems so technicians can control multiple test stations centrally, including supporting station moves to adjacent work areas and optimizing available space.
  • Restore and maintain legacy simulators as reliable production backups, coordinating with engineering to protect development activities when production equipment needs support.
  • Ensure Customer Service Center test equipment is functioning properly and answer questions about testing Return Goods (RGs).
  • Support developmental programs and collaborate with the PR Software Team to troubleshoot issues, brainstorm solutions, and implement fixes.
  • Upgrade test stations to newer Windows versions.
  • Troubleshoot units, test stations, and rate tables in response to production and engineering support needs.
  • Assist with calibration tracking and develop processes that improve equipment visibility, readiness, and long-term maintainability.
  • Document troubleshooting activities, equipment modifications, test results, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with technicians, software engineers, production personnel, and other engineering teams to resolve test-related issues.
