About The Position

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking to hire a Hardware Technician Lead to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the physical IT equipment supporting a strategic DoD program. In this senior role, you will work directly on the hardware — installing and configuring servers, switches, routers, and firewalls, diagnosing and repairing component-level failures, and managing the racks, cabling, and physical infrastructure that keep fielded systems running. You will also serve as the senior technical authority for sustainment, owning reliability analysis, obsolescence planning, and lifecycle support to ensure program systems remain mission ready throughout their operational life.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 6+ years of progressive systems, and component-level hardware repair, or sustainment engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sustainment engineering for fielded hardware or hardware/software integrated systems.
  • Experience with reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis and lifecycle sustainment.
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, switches, and network equipment.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing hardware failures at the component level.
  • Experience with obsolescence management and DMSMS mitigation.
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action for fielded systems.
  • Experience with engineering change management, spares planning, and repair workflows.
  • Strong customer-facing communication, and documentation skills.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday to support delivery order fulfillment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DoD Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) programs.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or equivalent hardware certification.
  • Experience sustaining deployable or tactical edge computing platforms.
  • Experience with lifecycle cost analysis and sustainment metrics reporting.
  • Experience with technology refresh and modernization planning for fielded DoD systems.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, technical data packages, and BOM-driven sustainment

Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other network equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing hardware failures and connectivity issues
  • Replacing components such as hard drives, memory, power supplies, network cards, and cables
  • Performing server and network equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements
  • Managing cabling, racks, patch panels, and physical network infrastructure
  • Performing hardware preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Tracking equipment, serial numbers, warranties, and IT asset inventory
  • Coordinating equipment repairs, replacements, and vendor service calls
  • Assisting with server-room/data-center operations, including equipment installation and physical organization
  • Following security, safety, backup, and change-management procedures
  • Documenting hardware configurations, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting activities
  • Drive reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis and improvement across deployed systems.
