About The Position
GNG has proudly served Gulf Shores, Foley, and the surrounding areas for nearly 40 years. Known for quality workmanship, reliable service, and a strong local reputation, GNG is expanding our team and seeking a dependable Hardware Store Clerk to support daily retail and inventory operations.
Requirements
- Prior retail or cashier experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
- Ability to manage inventory and handle deliveries
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Ability to lift and move inventory as needed
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Operate POS system and accurately handle cash and credit transactions
- Count inventory and assist with stocking shelves
- Receive and unload deliveries; verify shipments for accuracy
- Maintain an organized and clean sales floor and stock areas
- Close the store, including: Counting down cash drawers, Reconciling cash and credit card payments, Reviewing invoices and daily transactions
- Support day‑to‑day store operations as needed
