About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer I to join our team. This role is designed for an early learner who is eager to develop expertise in aerospace quality systems under close supervision. Your primary responsibilities will include: Provide backup support to primary Quality Engineers on assigned programs. Assist with as-builts and participate in test witnessing activities. Support Quality Control (QC) with basic manufacturing issues and questions during the build phase. Perform basic Quality Engineer functions within our internal management systems with guidance from Senior Quality Engineers. Assist in creating basic Material Review Boards (MRBs) and learn root cause analysis fundamentals (e.g., cause maps) under supervision. Support formal testing, Customer Source Inspections (CSIs), and Quality Evaluation Verifications (QEVs) to drive schedule adherence. Maintain positive working relationships with the immediate program team and section professionals. Begin learning how various SEAKR work groups (Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Test) interact to accomplish tasks.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Physics, etc.).
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems, such as AS9100.
  • Ability to use a PC, including Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to follow specific, detailed instructions and work under close supervision.
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical engineering drawings and environmental testing of electronic assemblies is preferred.
  • ASQ relevant certifications (i.e. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or others).
  • Quality audit experience.
  • Aerospace/defense industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering requirements.
