About The Position

Virtu’s Hardware team builds custom FPGA solutions and infrastructure that support ultra-low-latency trading. Hardware Platform Engineers deploy, maintain, and optimize hardware platforms and develop software applications to control and monitor production systems. The role includes testing and troubleshooting equipment, planning platform deployments, maintaining control and monitoring applications, and researching hardware providers and capabilities. Virtu describes its workplace as dynamic, meritocratic, and characterized by a flat hierarchy. No finance background is necessary or expected.

Requirements

• Academic degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive Python experience.
• Basic understanding of network protocols.
• Familiarity with modern computer systems and network architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with real-time exchange market data and order entry systems.

Responsibilities
