About The Position
The Hardware Installation Technician Level 1 supports the installation, imaging, preparation, deployment, and support of Windows-based computer systems, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and related equipment. This role assists with deployment activities, inventory coordination, documentation, customer site support, and equipment movement or shipping needs.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience in customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
- Skill with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to travel to DC to deploy equipment.
- Must be able to type.
Nice To Haves
- Active interim Secret clearance or above
Responsibilities
- Perform installation and support of new Windows-based computer systems.
- Install images and software on laptops and workstations.
- Prepare computers for deployment.
- Support deployment activities.
- Assist with the installation and support of computer systems and peripherals.
- Coordinate with management for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs.
- Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities, including site surveys, hardware installation, software installation, hardware removal, and checking hardware for shipment.
- Assist in assuring that work products comply with established deliverable guidelines, including format and content.
- Assist in the development of documentation based on the customer’s processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
