About The Position

This position is for the First Line Manager (FLM) of the Special Test Equipment group which is part of RF Front End and Power Design center within the Radar, Electronic Warfare, and Acoustic Sensor (REAS) organization. The manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of RF Front End and Power Design. The FLM will provide technical, programmatic, and administrative leadership to a group of approximately 20 engineers of varying experience levels. The manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of requirements into hardware and software special test equipment designs and build for multiple programs; coordination with programs, manufacturing and subject matter experts for the development of designs and manufacturing efforts; recommendations, planning and execution of IRAD efforts; supporting business pursuits and proposals; and developing key expertise needed to grow the business in this area. The manager will oversee the design, development, documentation, and testing of special test equipment and related hardware. The manager will lead and ensure that the appropriate standards, processes, procedures are followed throughout the hardware and software development life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated competence in managing cross-disciplinary teams with a strong understanding of hardware and software engineering processes and the hardware and software engineering product life cycle.
  • Experience in strategic development and the development of strategic relations.
  • Experience communicating at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, senior management levels and the customer.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in earned value, schedule, cost, and risk management techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems, programs and IRAD projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully obtain and execute on IRAD/CRAD contracts
  • Occasional travel may be required, must be willing to travel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
