About The Position

As a Hardware IPT Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading Hardware development teams of 5 - 20 engineers through the hardware development process of digital subsystems. You will act as a technical liaison between Engineering & Technology leadership and Program Management to align resources, staffing, and milestone planning. This role involves facilitating weekly IPT status meetings, ensuring transparent communication among engineering, technology, program management, and customer stakeholders, and delivering clear, concise oral and written updates to leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams. You will also oversee subsystem development, build, and test activities to meet schedule, performance, and quality requirements, and foster close working relationships with associate IPT Leads, functional Managers, and customer counterparts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • 5+ Years of Professional Experience
  • 2+ Years in a technical leadership role
  • Proven ability to contribute to hardware design work
  • Proven hardware development experience from concept to sustainment
  • CAM or WPM experience
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration due to security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in leading or presenting at technical reviews and boards is desired.
  • Prior experience with digital module or subsystem development is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of dealing with subcontractors and subcontract technical management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading Hardware development teams of 5 - 20 engineers through the hardware development process of digital subsystems.
  • Acting as technical liaison between Engineering & Technology leadership and Program Management to align resources, staffing and milestone planning.
  • Facilitating weekly IPT status meetings and ensuring transparent communication among engineering, technology, program management and customer stakeholders.
  • Delivering clear, concise oral and written updates to leadership, customers and cross functional teams.
  • Overseeing subsystem development, build and test activities to meet schedule, performance and quality requirements.
  • Fostering close working relationships with associate IPT Leads, functional Managers, and customer counterparts.
  • Planning and leading technical solutions from proposal through all aspects of development, including SRR, PDR, CDR, Qualification, System Verification & Test, FCA, and transition to production.
  • Dealing with subcontractors and subcontract technical management.
