GDIT is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support the Network Support on the Joint Service Provider Enterprise Transport Management - Next-Gen (JSP ETM - NG) program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. This role involves a 12-hour shift work schedule (Wednesday-Saturday 6pm - 6am) and requires full-time onsite presence with no telecommuting allowed. The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for detecting, reporting, troubleshooting, and repairing Pentagon Transport layer circuits in a 24/7 facility, performing Operations & Maintenance for complex Command and Control Networks, and independently troubleshooting network outages to minimize customer downtime. The role also includes developing and presenting engineering schematics, provisioning and re-routing Command and Control Traffic, performing Tier III repair of communications equipment, managing Type-1 Encryption management networks including firmware and software upgrades, utilizing monitoring tools for proactive and reactive support, and providing hardware, computer systems, and electrical components support in classified networks, adhering to industry standards and ITSM best practices.
