Requirements

Successfully completed Electrical Engineering program, or a related field.
Exposure to PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Expedition), and embedded systems programming (e.g., C/C++, Python).
Understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, control systems, and robotics.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of design and documentation.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
Must have Canadian Citizenship or have a valid Permanent Resident Card and Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) a plus.

Responsibilities

Create detailed designs for mechanical and electronic systems, including schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and functionality.
Integrate hardware and software components to ensure seamless operation of mechatronic systems.
Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of hardware and software to identify and resolve issues.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality products on time and on budget.
Prepare comprehensive documentation for designs, including specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to continually improve design processes and product quality.
