Ralliant•Town of Pittsford, NY

About The Position

The Hardware Engineer will work within the Transformers Value Stream and Qualitrol’s R&D team to advance new technology initiatives and support new product development and sustaining activities. The role develops sensing and monitoring systems, sensors, and solutions for utility and industrial customers, contributing across the product lifecycle—from requirements specification and design through verification, validation, deployment, compliance certification, and production introduction. The engineer is responsible for product quality, reliability, and feature completion, working with internal and external resources and coordinating with the architecture team. The position uses SAFe Agile development methods and the Scrum framework to deliver customer-facing products. It calls for a strong understanding of analog and digital electrical design, embedded systems, and communication protocols, as well as a collaborative, customer-focused approach. The engineer works with a multifunctional team that may include hardware architecture, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics engineering, product management, and program management.
