About The Position

Responsible for the full lifecycle of new/current hardware products. From initial design and prototyping through production deployment. Will also design and implement local programs to help with our production processing and quality control systems. This role involves designing and testing custom hardware solutions for the TireViewLIVE and TST product lines, including circuit design, component selection, and PCB layout collaboration. The engineer will also be responsible for designing and executing hardware testing procedures, maintaining technical documentation, and troubleshooting complex issues that span hardware, firmware, and software. Travel is expected to be 10-20%. Candidates must be classified as a "US Person" due to ITAR and EAR requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven hardware design experience with demonstrable products that you can discuss in detail.
  • Familiarity with Python or C# for desktop application development.
  • Strong embedded programming skills in C/C++ or similar low-level languages
  • Hands-on experience with CANBus and Serial (RS-232/RS-485/UART) communication protocols.
  • Practical electronics knowledge: ability to read schematics, use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, and debug hardware issues.
  • Production environment experience: understanding design-for-manufacturing principles and creating tools that work reliably on a factory floor.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, automotive standards).
  • Complete knowledge of CANBus and Serial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and test custom hardware solutions for TireViewLIVE and TST product lines, including circuit design, component selection, and PCB layout collaboration.
  • Design and execute comprehensive hardware testing procedures, from bench testing to environmental (Real-World) testing.
  • Maintain technical documentation for hardware designs, software interfaces, and production procedures.
  • Debug complex issues that span hardware, firmware, and software issues.
  • Design and implement local programs to help with production processing and quality control systems.
