About The Position
The Hardware Engineer 2 will join Dell Technologies’ Hardware Engineering team within the Infrastructure Solutions Group in Round Rock, Texas. The role supports schematic, layout, and validation activities while developing knowledge of product lifecycle workflows. The engineer will collect data, execute tests, document results accurately, learn compliance steps, and contribute to build readiness. The position is part of a team that designs and develops hardware and software for infrastructure and data management products. The group emphasizes experimentation, customer-focused development, and the use of AI to support product development.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of related experience in a professional role or equivalent experience.
- Foundational circuit knowledge and laboratory skills, including competency with oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and collaborate in teams.
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Exposure to EDA tools and scripting for test automation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with schematic capture and basic circuit calculations.
- Run test scripts, record measurements, and maintain lab notebooks.
- Support signal integrity and power integrity measurements under guidance and troubleshoot issues.
- Prepare reports and update documentation repositories.
