The Just walk out hardware team is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with strong experience in hardware design, validation, and product release processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end hardware development including and not limited to schematic design, PCB layout support, testing, and ensuring compliance with EMC/EMI and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical design, including system-level architecture and integration
  • 3+ years experience with analog/digital circuit design and embedded systems
  • Knowledge of PCB stackup and material selection for optimal signal integrity and EMC performance
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design, simulation, and analysis tools (e.g., Cadence, Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, or similar)
  • Hands on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Understanding of EMC/EMI design techniques and compliance standards

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles including switchgear, UPS, transformers, and circuit breakers
  • Experience managing projects in a fast pace environment
  • Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and release processes

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive electrical architecture, system integration, and technical strategy for assigned projects.
  • Create schematics, support PCB layout, and perform design reviews.
  • Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging and support for manufacturing, assembly, deployment, or operational readiness at scale.
  • Lead product validation and release activities, including test plan development and execution.
  • Ensure designs meet EMC/EMI compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, manufacturing).
  • Support prototype builds, design verification testing (DVT), and production validation (PVT).
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and release artifacts.
