About The Position

Indotronix is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer I for a 12-month contract in Florence, South Carolina. The role supports the design of mechanical hardware and components for elevator systems, including modeling and generating drawings using Creo, Creo Cable, and E3 Zuken WD. The engineer will handle design tasks such as modeling and detailing, communicate across functions, and support internal and external customers.

Requirements

Experience with Creo 10 or higher.
Proficiency in Pro Cable.
Programming experience using NotePad.
Experience with component, assembly, subsystem, and system modeling.
Ability to use advanced mathematics techniques for part fitment and design feasibility.
Experience defining welding, GD&T, tolerancing, material specifications, and finishes in drawings and models.
Experience with parametric design and programming.
Experience with E3 Zuken wiring diagrams; E3 Series is listed as a must-have.
Ability to collaborate efficiently with engineers and internal customers.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and deliver to targets.
Ability to work at pace while handling multiple deliverables.
Ability to interpret engineering markups and communicate design intent through models and drawings.

Responsibilities

Provide design support to internal and external customers.
Modify and develop component solutions to improve product robustness.
Support resolution of engineering issues.
Develop component- and system-level models and drawings.
Support cost-reduction efforts and FTB reduction.
Support engineers with 3D studies and prototyping.
Support the engineering CN process.
Support system-level model updates.
Interpret engineering markups and convey design intent through 3D models and drawings.
Collaborate with engineers and internal customers, working independently with minimal oversight and managing multiple deliverables.
