About The Position

Join Nokia's IP Routing team in Sunnyvale, California as a Hardware Debug Technician and play a key role in bringing next-generation networking hardware to life. This is an on-site position in our Sunnyvale office and hardware lab, where you'll work directly with engineers and prototype hardware every day. In this hands-on role, you will perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, failure analysis, and validation testing of complex high-speed digital communication products. You will work closely with hardware, FPGA, and system engineers to identify root causes of issues, validate solutions, and ensure products meet quality and performance targets.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Practical expertise in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital debug tools.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly to engineering teams.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Nice To Haves

Experience in board bring-up and hardware validation is an asset.
Knowledge of high-speed digital systems, DDR memory debug, and Ethernet/networking hardware is advantageous.
Familiarity with FPGA-based platforms, signal integrity troubleshooting, and PCB failure analysis is preferred.
Experience in schematic review, fault isolation, and VHDL or FPGA development environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Debug ultra high-speed PCB circuit designs through simulation and verification testing.
Utilize oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital debug tools to analyze and resolve complex high-speed digital communication challenges.
Work closely with hardware, FPGA, and system engineers to identify and resolve issues, ensuring products meet performance targets.
Perform board bring-up, hardware debugging, and validation testing of complex digital communication products.
Analyze and debug high-speed digital communications products using advanced tools and techniques.
Manage the entire board design process, from concept to production release.
Collaborate with a highly motivated team of engineering professionals, taking personal responsibility for driving your designs and PCB projects.
Possess working knowledge of board bring-up, debug, and testing in a hardware lab environment.
Ensure effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.
