About The Position

This role is responsible for kitting helicoils, installing helicoils, cutting gaskets or masking, and installing dowel pins, keencerts, captive screws, pem nuts/studs, and Lee plugs on repeat or proven parts of varying complexity and materials (aluminum, steel, plastic, copper) with minimal supervision. The position also involves polishing sealing surface lay patterns on post-anodize parts using various pneumatic or electric finishing tools and reading blueprints and instructions to achieve required surface finishes.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School.
• Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.

Nice To Haves

• 4-6 years’ related experience preferred.
• Enrolled in vocational education for machine technology or practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T preferred.

Responsibilities

• Kitting helicoils for jobs.
• Installing helicoils.
• Cutting gaskets or masking.
• Installing dowel pins, keencerts, captive screws, pem nuts/studs, and Lee plugs on repeat or proven parts with all levels of complexity on various materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic and copper with little to no direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
• Polishing sealing surface lay patterns on a variety of post anodize parts.
• Operating a variety of pneumatic or electric power finishing tools such but not limited to orbital sander, DA sander, flappers and die grinders.
• Reading blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
• Following the blueprint or instructions to achieve required surface finishes such as lay patterns and sealing surfaces.
• Ensuring company procedures and “best machine practices” are being always followed and are in place.
• Installing helicoils and dowel pins into parks and subassemblies using blueprints and shop routers to determine size, quantity, and location.
• Masking sealing surface lay patterns and polishing to achieve desired surface finish on variety of post anodize parts.
• Polishing O’ring(s) to achieve desired surface finish on variety of post anodize parts.
