About The Position

This is a full-time, year-round position for a Hardscape Crew Lead. The role involves directing hardscape crew members on equipment, planning, and executing assigned work. The position offers hands-on job site training and involves working on a 2-3 person crew performing hardscape or landscape installation, along with landscape maintenance. Responsibilities include reading work orders and landscape plans, ensuring installation work follows company standards, and enhancing property appearance and value through crew direction. Daily tasks include grounds and turf maintenance, planting, trimming, mowing, weeding, and mulching. The role also involves diagnosing insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions, and maintaining open communication with management and clients. The employee will drive, use, maintain, and operate landscape equipment.

Requirements

  • Love of the outdoors
  • Must have 3-4 years' experience in hardscape and landscape installation
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance
  • Experience operating equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, etc.
  • Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire
  • Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in snow maintenance is a plus!
  • Background in Horticulture or Landscaping
  • Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge

  • Maintains open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
  • Drives, uses, maintains, and properly operates landscape equipment.
