About The Position
This position is for someone who has mechanical and handyperson skills. The role involves repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various aspects of a high-end residential community, including flooring, carpeting, painting, plastering, drywall, wall coverings, appliances, windows, doors, electrical systems, and plumbing (domestic water, sewage, and gas). It also includes working with boilers and HVAC systems, including refrigerant handling. Additionally, the position requires the capability to conduct front-of-house meetings with contractors and tenants regarding these topics.
Requirements
- Basic to advanced knowledge and ability to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot flooring, carpeting, painting, plastering, drywall, wall coverings, appliances, windows, doors, electrical, domestic water plumbing, sewage plumbing, gas plumbing, boilers, and HVAC.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling/recovery Type 1 and 2.
- FDNY G-60 (Torch Use) certification must be obtained within a timely manner.
- FDNY F-60 (Fire Guard for Torch Use) certification must be obtained within a timely manner.
Nice To Haves
- EPA Universal certificate is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot flooring, carpeting, painting, plastering, drywall, and wall coverings.
- Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot appliances, windows, and doors.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Handle domestic water, sewage, and gas plumbing repairs.
- Maintain and repair boilers.
- Perform HVAC maintenance, including refrigerant evacuation, recovery, and charging, as well as brazing.
- Conduct front of house contractor/tenant liaison meetings and discussions.
